The Lady That Made This ALL Happen...
Miss Betty Baker you will be missed. You were such a wonderful lady and an amazing teacher to many drill teams and riders. You founded OKEDA with great honor in helping not only drill teams in the great state of Oklahoma but also all around the Great Plains. You have touched many lives in very many ways and memories stay with those you've truly touched. You have left us your legacy and we are blessed! Thank You Betty and we love and miss you!
Betty's first experience with drill team was in 1964 with the Sooner Saddle Club of Oklahoma City. When her children ,Ronnie and Rayma, were old enough to be in 4-H she started the Canadian County 4-H Drill Team the CC Riders. She was also one of the founders of Canadian Valley Rangerettes. In 2003 she founded the Freedom Riders for her granddaughters Reba and Kalie Baker ,which she coached till 2006. She soon after that decided to have a drill competition in Oklahoma, The Red Dirt Ride, which was founded in 2008. She was happily married to Raymond Baker for 54 years and lived in mustang for over 45 years.
